Lennox is updating its Merit® Series furnace lineup from the ML296V to the ML297V.
For Toronto and GTA homeowners familiar with the ML296V, the ML297V is not a completely different furnace. It keeps the same core two-stage, variable-speed design while improving overall efficiency and refining comfort performance.
The most noticeable upgrade is efficiency.
The ML297V is rated at 97% AFUE, compared with up to 96% AFUE for the ML296V.
It continues to offer:
- Two-stage heating
- Variable-speed blower operation
- Enhanced humidity control
- Dual-fuel capability
- SureLight® ignition
- Compatibility with air filtration and humidification accessories
Lennox also highlights sound-absorbing materials on the ML297V, helping support quieter operation.
In practical terms, homeowners can think of the ML297V as an evolution of the ML296V rather than a complete redesign: slightly higher efficiency, the same proven two-stage and variable-speed comfort strategy, and additional emphasis on quieter operation.
Mas Air Home Comfort is updating its Lennox Merit furnace offering from the ML296V to the ML297V for Toronto and GTA homeowners.
If your existing furnace is approaching replacement age, it may also be worth comparing a high-efficiency gas furnace with heat pump or hybrid options before making a final decision.
