If attic insulation is the only work you need, the Single Upgrade route is simpler.
Bundled Upgrades can make more sense if you are already planning other eligible improvements such as wall or foundation insulation, windows and doors, air sealing or a heat pump water heater. The program also offers up to $600 toward the required home energy assessments.

How Much Attic Insulation Rebate Can You Get?
Your rebate depends mainly on how much insulation is already in your attic.

For a Single Upgrade, the rebate covers 50% of the eligible after-tax project cost, up to the maximum for your starting insulation level.
For example, if your attic is currently R-12 or lower and the eligible work costs $2,000 after tax, your rebate would be $1,000.

How Do You Apply for the Attic Insulation Rebate?
The process depends on which route you choose.
For a Single Upgrade, you do not need a home energy assessment. You must pre-register before the work begins and use a participating insulation contractor.
For Bundled Upgrades, you must complete an initial home energy assessment before starting the renovations, complete at least two eligible upgrades, and then complete a final assessment.
