Energy Rebate Programs 2

Energy Rebate 2023 for Ontario Residence

Enbridge Gas and Canada’s Greener Homes Grant have joined forces to introduce the Enbridge Home Efficiency Energy Rebate 2023, which offers enhanced rebates for eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps, and renewable energy systems.

The new Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program is designed to promote energy efficiency and will provide Ontarians with more opportunities to save energy at home through Energy Audit. This partnership is excellent news for residents across the province, including current Enbridge Gas customers who use natural gas to heat their homes. They can now benefit from enhanced rebates of up to $10,000. In addition, participants can offset the cost of their EnerGuide home evaluation by receiving an additional rebate of up to $600.

Who is eligible for the energy rebate:

  • Enbridge Gas customers who are the primary residents of their homes
  • Enbridge Gas customers who are not the primary residents of their homes
  • Non-Enbridge Gas customers who are eligible for specific subsidies
  • Off-grid communities defined as communities that are not currently connected to the North American grid or natural gas network and have at least 10 residences or more than 5 years of residency.
  • Some low-rise and mixed-use housing in multi-occupancy residential buildings may qualify for rebates.

Who is not eligible for the rebate?

  • Homes that are not the owner’s primary residence and do not have an active Enbridge Gas account
  • Multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs) that are more than 3 stories or larger than an area of 600 m².
  • Residential Cooperatives.
  • Homes were built less than 6 months ago.
  • Mixed-use buildings that are less than 50% residential.
