The Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 1.05 indicates that the ROCKWOOL Safe’n’Sound® acoustic insulation exceeds 100% sound absorption efficiency, which is an exceptional performance level. The NRC is a standard that measures a material’s ability to absorb sound, with values typically ranging from 0 (no absorption) to 1 (100% efficiency). An NRC of 1.05 means that this insulation not only absorbs all incoming sound energy but also manages to absorb a bit more, showcasing its superior sound-absorbing qualities.

Fireproof

ROCKWOOL Safe’n’Sound® soundproofing insulation also boasts excellent fire resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 2150°F (1177°C). It’s non-combustible and, even when directly exposed to flames, does not produce toxic smoke or sustain burning.
